WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE, WHEN AND AFTER PLAYING THE GAME
-STORYLINE-
When there's a kaiju, there's a hero to save the day! Read the stories of the chosen people in a turmoil world and learn what it takes to be a hero.
-BEFORE-
The game splits into 3 chapters. At the beginning of the game, there will be only one chapter available but once you finished it you will unlock two more chapters.
-WHEN-
This game is a kinetic novel, so there is no choice to be made. Use the many many save slots to bookmark your favourite moments because there is no scene recollection in the Extra menu.
-AFTER-
Once you finished reading one chapter, you will unlock the Extra menu:
In the Extra menu, you will unlock the main and selected characters' profiles. You can also view the opening and ending songs for each chapter.
I'm about to spoil the core story of each chapter so... be warned?

Chapter 1: Kagome Shoutarou (voiced by Sano Yuuri)
Kagome Shoutarou is an aspiring actor who wants to be a hero in a TV show. He is dating Kozuka Akira (voiced by Ishikari Yuuki), a mangaka.
His story gets a bit messy when Akira is suddenly accused of kidnapping a child. Also, he noticed that Akira also sometimes goes missing whenever a hero siren blasts out loud.
Things get escalated when he is contacted by his old best friend, Kobayashi Akira (voiced by Konnou Seiichirou) and he is revealed to be working under Orange Association for Kaiju Rights. Orange fights for kaiju equality and Shoutarou is a person who can wield a secret power within the base of Orange.
At the climax of the story, Shoutarou got thrown into another Showa (something like an alternate universe) and then gets to learn more about himself and his father.
And lastly, after fighting with the secret bad guy named ▲, ▲ merge the two universes into one and everyone now retains both of their memories.
Few years after the main story, Akira buys a house and lives with Shoutarou together :)

Chapter 2: Choutsugai Shirou (voiced by Shinoda Kazuma)
Choutsugai Shirou is a sketchy, sketchy man who works as a photographer and also an accidental detective. His faithful companion is Mimayoto Uran (voiced by Kimino Riruru). He's basically a gossip photographer, looking for a big scope to make a quick buck. He's also HATES Icarus, like hate a lot.
His goal of opening the photography shop is to one day reunite with his best friend and his first love, Bell-chan. But what do you know, Bell-chan's true identity is a man named Isshiki Suzu (voiced by Nomiya Kazunori).
Turns out Shirou's grudge towards Icarus is because Icarus didn't help Shirou when a monster attacked him, Bell, and his family. Isshiki joins Orange Association in order to help Shirou get his grudge by being White Icarus.
After the world merges, Shirou goes to execute Burai-san as a suspect for killing Isshiki but then fails. He's almost about to commit a murder but then Isshiki appears before him. So they hug :)

Chapter 3: Sayashi Jyuurou (voiced by Kanzaki Tomoya)
Sayashi Jyuurou is an actor in a TV show called Taiyou Kamen Icarus and he's also a part of Icarus quadrant. He lives with an amnesiac shape-shifting dog named Tarou (voiced by Gouda Asuka) and his friend + assistant Hibarino Yomi (voiced by Bitou Hideyoshi).
Turns out Yomi is an alien from a... triangle planet? The reason why he splits the earth into two because he wanted to do an experiment on the earth. But then his spaceship is destroyed by a meteor or something so he's stranded on Earth. Then Jyuurou's father, Shinichi founds him and kind of adopt him.
Jyuurou, who is now mad with the desire for Yomi to love him back, goes on a seriously scary mad rampage and kills all the kaiju and also attacking his fellow Red Icaruses.
But Akira the Red Icarus, combined his power with Shoutarou, who is also turning into a Red Icarus, punch Yomi into oblivion and out from the world, ultimately fixing the world again. Jyuurou cries seeing him go.
In a state of limbo, Jyuurou reflects what he really wants to be. He no longer desires to be a hero who people love, he's now content with just being an extra, together with his love. :'(

So! The whole thing. Is just Crazily good? I had to edit this post just to add this small section because the more I think of the details and symbolisms the more I feel that I fall in love with this game.
The sprites! Although the game doesn't show much of the sprite screen time BUT if you look closely at their eyes, it shows their true identity!! A kaiju-infected human will have orange eyes, an Icarus will have grey eyes, and a normal being will have black eyes. This is fucking crazy I'm sad that I didn't pick this subtlety as fast as I can.
Also the sun symbol? That could be referring to:
- the TV show Taiyou Kamen Icarus;
- the name Icarus, the son of Daedalus; and
- in a way, the country Japan itself, the Land of the Rising Sun (how about Sunrise Land~𝅘𝅥𝅮)
How about the C in "Uuultra C"? It could refer to the Ulmer scale, like either you're an A-list, B-list or C-list. The characters in the game in a way is related to the world of acting. Or it could just refers to vitamin "C" in orange fruit, which could work as well.
And let me tell you about the game's colour scheme, which is heavily in red, black, orange and yellow. This could be referring to Yomi's backstory because his origin planet is mostly in that colour palette.

GAO GAO MEOW MEOW GAO GAO GAO NYA NYA
This game is really enjoyable! The last chapter really hits hard, at first I was like HOOOO JUROOO 💖💖💓 and then I went NOOOO JUROO???! but then it made me go 😭😭😭😭 Everyone is just a victim of circumstances. Also, Kobayashi's small subplot made me cried hard 😥 I just me some unrequited love story, ok?
Now I'll go and read the extra stories on the website because I'm already missed them all.
