How long has it been since I last updated this blog? 3 years back?
Truthfully, my interest in VN dwindled down around 2022 so I left this blog unattended.
I deleted all my backlogs and the tools that help me play VNs from my hard disk.
I led a normal life, got into Baldur's Gate 3 (I am an Astarion and Wyll simp, really original) and D&D, did some local art events, and did drawings. The usual stuff.
But funnily, FUNNILY, my dear friend told me about a Slow Damage fan translation English patch that literally just came out today (16th November 2024)
And that brought me back to finding this blog, reading my previous posts, and glancing over all the terribly formatted walkthroughs.
It's nostalgic? And somehow I feel like. I want to do this again, from;
Find a game that I want to play, open up the text hooker, fight with the game installer, have a notepad on my side, and play the game while taking notes on what choices I've made. Take screenshots for in-game jokes. Cry at the bad endings. Cry at the good endings. Ecstatic after getting to the true ending.
It was fun. It is fun.
Because the true fun is the after-discussion with the people who visited this blog and commented about their feelings about the game.
So, I guess I'm back at it again?
Even though BLVN walkthrough kind of fell out of the demand nowadays BUT the truth is, it was not about the walkthrough at all. It was about sharing my feelings and thoughts about the media.
And if there's someone out there who happens to hope that I'll come back to update this blog, then, today is your lucky day haha I bet it was not a part of your 2024 bingo card lol
I can't promise I'll be up-to-date with the Japanese BLVN release or news because I deleted my twitter account, but I'll find a way to know stuff...
Right now my goal is to play any sequels or fandisk for the original VN that I had played so it'll be:
1. Paradise Musubi
2. Paradise Kiwame
3. Nie no Machi Iro Musubi
4. Taisho Mebiusline Fandisk Teito Bibouroku
5. Invisible Sign -Nemureru Mori-
After that, it's gamin' time

DeleteI can understand the feeling to lose some interest we had during years ; I felt the same with several manga, comics (even with my own original characters, fantasy world and comics !!) and anime stuff on my side during 2022 and 2023. People are growing up and our tastes can change with time.

Yeah eventually we'll grow out of any interest/hobbies that we had, a sad part of growing up I guess BUT as long as I still have the interest I'll keep it as long as I can 🥹

Don't worry, it's not sad I think, it's fun to explore and get curious of new things ! And our old interests can revive latter like you see !

DeleteOmg can't believe I missed this post despite getting your reply on the nei no machi game🤣. But yay, sooo happy your back! I love your walkthroughs & have used them many times over the years! I don't know what I'd do if you had deleted this blog back then😭. I've always used/needed them at some point.

I sort of stopped playing JP BLVN games a while back too due to how time consuming they can be and difficult to download/set up + the translators I need in order to play them💀, and felt myself leaning away from them & towards other, easier games to play in my free time😭. But, I still find myself coming back here every now and then to play a JP BLVN game and to see/use your guides or to say hi. So I'm happy you're back☺️. Btw: Also an Astarion fan all the way, now if only I could complete one entire gameplay without restarting Baldur's Gate 3 (lol I struggle so much in this game despite how fun it is😅🙈).
