I played Tokyo 24-Ku Trial Version

It's about time we get excited for a new game that will be released this month, Tokyo 24-Ku or Tokyo Ward 24 by HolicWorks!

You can download the trial at the official website in the "Download" section!

Well, what are we waiting for? Let's jump into the main section!

Storyline

The year of 2020.

Sonogi Akihiro, a young and new legislator from Kyoto who is serving his second term in the Parliament, got caught up in the chaotic political world when a terrorist attack happens while preparing for the next big event in Tokyo, International Athletes Festival or IAF.

There's an unsolved mystery death of the Minister of Self Defence which is used by other people to cause commotions in people. Was this a related case caused by the same group of people? We will find out soon.

The title "Tokyo 24-Ku" is referring to 23 special wards in Tokyo. Why there's an extra one ward in the title? Weellll that's for us to discover!

Here's the title screen when you boot up the game. There's a section for a glossary. Navigate around the game by hovering your mouse to the right side of the screen to bring up the quick menu. You can save voice clips too :D

The animation is superb! Dynamic sprites! Very fast-paced and gets my adrenaline rush to its core!

And here's our protagonist, Sonogi Akihiro! He looks very much like Kyouichirou from Taisho Mebiusline. Is Sonogi the descendant of Hiiragi idk that's my headcanon lol

In the prologue, you'll be introduced to the main characters:

• Sonogi Akihiro: VA 宮尾章?
• Tademaru Kazuki: VA 天河雄成? – private secretary of Sonogi, best friend from high school
• Tougou Asuma: VA 河村眞人 Yamanaka Masahiro – supporter of Sonogi, from Tougou group, involved in a security system for IAF
• Shirasu Takemi: VA 茶介 Katou Masayuki- opposing party, the governor of Tokyo
• Agatsuma Taiga: VA 柊三太 Ono Yuuki- a man from the special force of Tokyo

"It really is a good system to be implemented. But I think the possibility of a terrorist attack in Japan is quite low."

Sucks for all of us then this foreshadowing is too strong.

"Sonogi-san is getting a lot of attention for being a young legislator. The female audiences will surely improve dramatically today."

The trial ends when there's an explosion that occurs at Shibuya and then the Special Force of Tokyo was deployed to the scene.

Total gameplay for the trial is around 3 hours so if you have time to kill I'd recommend you to play this!

Also if you can't open the .exe file I recommend you to use Locale Emulator and run it in Japanese. That solved my problem. Win10 is weird man.

Impression and Prediction

The language is ok to read but it does features some real-world words like House of Representative, rating approvals, National Diet and etc. I'm just dumb so my brain process a bit slower than usual lol

I was really pumped the whole time I was playing the game! And this game feels very much real for me because:

1. Politics scandals that could be just as real as the current situation
2. The game is set in April 2020 - August 2020. 2020 is a weird year after all.
3. It has a literal commercial played out in the first scene so you feel like watching a real TV news

I can feel that this game contain some quite few numbers of non-con because:

1. One of the partners is literally the opposing party
2. Another one is a businessman who is involved in the security system part of IAF but the possibility of implementing such system will blow up the budget
3. The genre is Politics BL Adventure. What do you expect? Gotta have some heart wrenching, betrayal story ready to be served up by HolicWorks.
4. Look at some of the CGs in the official website. Something is up over there hmmm 

I think that should cover up on what we can get in the trial version. Can't wait for the full version to come out!
