I was surprised Paradise franchise became my favourite game and I haven't play KIWAME yet BUT I KNOW I'LL LOVE ITT maybe I was deprived of consuming visual novels for many years that I played this fandisk longer than I should have hahaa

Play Japanese Visual Novels with Sugoi Translator Toolkit or Textractor

 As a warmup session in updating the blog, I want to post a tutorial.

Honestly, I forgot how to play Japanese visual novels so I had to follow my own tutorial LOL so I decided to update my previous tutorials with a better application; Sugoi Translator Toolkit.

Here I break down the gist of what I (and you!) need to prepare our computer:-

1. Get the game that we want to play and translate
2. Let the game recognise our OS in a language other than the real one
3. Get Sugoi Translator Toolkit or Textractor 
4. Actually set it up
5. Enjoy!

It's been awhile... [some life update, future of this blog]

How long has it been since I last updated this blog? 3 years back? 

Truthfully, my interest in VN dwindled down around 2022 so I left this blog unattended.

I deleted all my backlogs and the tools that help me play VNs from my hard disk.

I led a normal life, got into Baldur's Gate 3 (I am an Astarion and Wyll simp, really original) and D&D, did some local art events, and did drawings. The usual stuff.

But funnily, FUNNILY, my dear friend told me about a Slow Damage fan translation English patch that literally just came out today (16th November 2024)

And that brought me back to finding this blog, reading my previous posts, and glancing over all the terribly formatted walkthroughs.

It's nostalgic? And somehow I feel like. I want to do this again, from;

Find a game that I want to play, open up the text hooker, fight with the game installer, have a notepad on my side, and play the game while taking notes on what choices I've made. Take screenshots for in-game jokes. Cry at the bad endings. Cry at the good endings. Ecstatic after getting to the true ending.

It was fun. It is fun.

Because the true fun is the after-discussion with the people who visited this blog and commented about their feelings about the game. 

So, I guess I'm back at it again?

Even though BLVN walkthrough kind of fell out of the demand nowadays BUT the truth is, it was not about the walkthrough at all. It was about sharing my feelings and thoughts about the media. 

And if there's someone out there who happens to hope that I'll come back to update this blog, then, today is your lucky day haha I bet it was not a part of your 2024 bingo card lol

I can't promise I'll be up-to-date with the Japanese BLVN release or news because I deleted my twitter account, but I'll find a way to know stuff...

Right now my goal is to play any sequels or fandisk for the original VN that I had played so it'll be:

After that, it's gamin' time

I played Love it Hunter! and I have a lot of thoughts about this and I need to let it out so let's go!

Nie no Machi (PC) Walkthrough

This game has been recommended by my friends and honestly I'm glad that I finally play the game. It has such a great and refreshing artstyle and wonderful story to just indulge in. It feels like drinking a fresh and sweet lemonade after a vigorous exercise.

The game that I was so afraid of because, if you've played previous games by this company you KNOW that anything made by Pil/Slash is never good for your brain health so I put this off until.... this year.

This is proof that I survived Paradise. Let's begin.

Absolutely masterpiece. I love this game. I definitely recommend this game if you want to take a dip into Shinto vs Koshinto beliefs, Japanese funeral ceremony, well-developed suspense, cliffhangers and BITTERSWEET MOMENTS DAVAI LET'S GOOOOOO

I love this game. I love it so much it hurts for me to know that I finished playing the game. Everything is so perfect. It has the mystery, horror, humour, romance, brain killing plot, gray area, gORGEOUS TRIPPY ART AND HELLA SOUNDTRACK ARGHHHHHH

I can't choose which title card to use so I just put both of them in here.

Warning: HELLA MANY PICTURES AND SPOILERS. Like, there're almost 90 pictures in this walkthrough alone. Most of the walkthrough in this blog only have 50 and below worth of pictures but this one, I can't choose...... I love it too much.....
